Moringa oleifera is a fast-growing, drought-resistant tree native to the Indian subcontinent. Fruit pods of Moringa oleifera are consumed as food in many parts of the world, but particularly in South Asia. The leaves are commonly used in curries. Moringa leaves can also be brewed like tea to make a healthy beverage. It produces a light cup color when 3 grams in 10 ounces water is steeped for 5 minutes at 200F. Moringa leaves have no caffeine.
